Commemorative Album
Labour Weekend 2022 marked the 46th and final Cardrona Folk Festival, which was proudly hosted by Martin & Kay Curtis since 1977.
As part of the celebrations for the 45th festival, Martin compiled and released a double album featuring many of the national and international guests that have graced the stage at the Cardrona Hall in that time. Full details below.
Since 2024, Martin & Kay are now hosting a smaller folk gathering at Earnscleugh, Central Otago. Click here for more details.
Released as part of the celebrations for the 45th Cardrona Folk Festival.
A double album featuring many of the national and international guests that have graced the stage at the Cardrona Hall in that time. With the permission of the artistes, it features a track from one of their albums. Graham Wardrop has professionally mastered the album for me, which included even taking a couple of tracks from cassettes and even in one case a vinyl album. He has done a great job in getting all the levels and the sound as perfect as is possible with older recordings. There are 26 tracks in all on two CD’s featuring the following musicians and singers.
The album shows the incredible quality of the performers we have had in Cardrona over the past 45 years and is a great souvenir of some wonderful festivals.
Tracks are listed below.
